To listen another's soul into a condition of disclosure and discovery

Many of the anti-traffickers I host have loud interior lives; the volume of their callings can be deafening.  As well, some are also survivors of sexual exploitation.  They often feel the path back to "the life" is just a few steps away; meanwhile, they work hard to see others set free.  All of them are activists, all of them run a long leg of the journey everyday.  They long for a space to take off their pack, take off their shoes and be welcomed into a time of peace and deeper listening to sort through the stories of their lives, to hear the story the Spirit is telling through them.  Spiritual direction is a warm fire lit by the side of their roads. 

 

In spiritual direction you will be "listened into" a place of discovery.
